Manufactured in 1957, the included factory letter lists the pistol as chambered for .45 ACP with a 5 inch barrel, blue finish, stocks not listed, and furnished with a flat mainspring housing when shipped alone to A.L. Knight Gun Shop of Forth Worth, Texas, on January 28, 1958. Features fixed blade front and adjustable notch rear sights on the ribbed slide, with the standard Colt markings and address on both sides retained and bordered, along with "H.H.P." within a banner located on both sides below the rear sight. The frame bears the serial number on the right side, with the trigger guard marked "VP" and "Y" on the left and "4" on the right. Fitted with an adjustable trigger and a set of checkered walnut grips with silver Colt medallion inserts.

Very fine as custom upgraded to current configuration, retaining 95% plus blue finish with scattered faint scratches on the frame, faint spotting on the grip straps, and an attractive plum coloration on the slide. The grips are also very fine with some slight bruising, otherwise crisp grip checkering. Mechanically excellent.
