This Model 1890 is a Third Model takedown that was manufactured in 1914, with the locking cut on the front top of the receiver which allows the breech bolt to lock externally. The right side of the receiver is nicely scroll and border custom engraved with three rabbits in a field scene in the center, the left side is the same engraving with two squirrels on a tree branch in the center. The top of the bolt and receiver are lightly scroll engraved. The top of the barrel is marked with the two line address and the breech end of the barrel is marked " 22 LONG". Fixed front sight and adjustable rear sight, which is marked "PAT JAN.29, 1901" and a Lyman tang peep sight. Extra fancy select walnut checkered forearm and straight grip stock with a steel crescent buttplate.

Completely refurbished/engraved and re-stocked to near new condition with the exception of an area of light rust on the heel of the buttplate. The engraving is not signed and appears to be the work of a master engraver.
