Excellent Winchester Model 90 Slide Action Rifle

This is the Third Model takedown version which features a locking cut made on the front top of the receiver to allow the breech bolt to lock externally. Manufactured in 1927-1928. Standard barrel markings. Blade front sight with adjustable rear sight. 3/4 length magazine tube. Twelve groove forearm and straight grip stock with metal crescent buttplate.

Rating definitionExcellent. The receiver retains 98% of the bright original high polish blue. The barrel and magazine tube retains approximately 95% of the original blue finish with high edge wear, thinning on the trigger guard and tangs and a smooth grayish/brown patina on the rear half of the magazine and on the slide bar. The buttplate has a 50/50 mix of blue finish and smooth brownish mottled patina. The wood is excellent plus with nearly all of the original varnish and overall scattered minor dings and dents.
