1) 11 inch gourd dance rattle with beaded haft, fur and 8" leather thong decoration. The 3 1/2 inch diameter head has sinew sewn edges and is decorated on each side with designs in natural colors. Comes with two hair-on goat hide arm bands. A collection tag identifies it as Pawnee, probably 19th century. 2) 12-1/2 inch painted drum with padded stick. Brightly decorated with triangles of orange and blue around the edge and a 4 inch bullseye in the center of the same colors. The rawhide head is on a 2 inch stretcher with rawhide straps joined in the center. The 10 1/2 inch stick has a brown leather covered head. Northern Sioux or Shoshone, 20th century. 3) Apache tomahawk, 5 1/2 inch by 3 inch flat iron head on split branch. Haft 18 inches long, wrapped with trade cloth, with beaver fur and turkey feather decoration. Trading post tag identifies attached with thong. 20th century.
