Winchester Model 1890 Third Model Slide Action Rifle

Produced in 1909, with a single bead fixed front sight and an adjustable sporting rear sight on a octagon barrel. The top of barrel features the standard two line Winchester address and is marked "MOD. 1890.-22 SHORT", 3/4 tubular magazine. Blue finish, takedown thumbscrew on the left side of the receiver, serial number on the receiver and lower tang. Smooth straight grip stock and 12-groove forearm with crescent casehardened buttplate.

ConditionExcellent with 90% original blue remaining on the barrel with some very slight spotting. Magazine tube retains about half of its original blue with the balance fading to brownish gray. The receiver is with scattered areas rubbed to silver and one ground off spot at the upper right. Stock is good with a pleasing dark, smooth patina, buttplate retains its finish but has darkened on the edges and thinning to brown on the balance. All markings are clear.
