Produced in 1883, this is a Third Model 1876 Winchester Lever Action Rifle with dust cover guide integral to the receiver and dust cover with serrated sides. A Lyman ivory bead front sight and "1876" marked ladder rear sight on the round barrel, with standard markings, and the caliber markings, "45-75" ahead of the breech and on the underside of the elevator. Solid frame action, with full length magazine, niter blue loading gate, and casehardened hammer and lever. Smooth straight grip stock with metal forearm tip, and crescent butt plate with a sectional cleaning rod in the trapdoor compartment.
