Manufactured in 1937 this model was the successor to the Model 1886, with some internal parts strengthened to handle the powerful .348 cartridge. It features a hooded ramp blade front sight and filler block in the rear dovetail slot on barrel with the standard model and caliber markings and a 1/2 length tube magazine. The receiver is equipped with the correct factory installed Lyman target "bolt mounted" peep sight. Checkered pistol grip stock and semi-beavertail forearm with metal forearm cap, black Winchester grip cap and checkered steel buttplate. Complete with a brown leather Hunter sling with quick release swivels.

Excellent plus with approximately 98-99% of the bright original blue finish remaining with some minor flaking on the lever and only slight handling marks overall. The stock is excellent with sharp checkering and a few minor handling marks. The sling is very good. The action is excellent.
