Manufactured in 1926 for Sloan's Sporting Goods in New York, this deluxe shotgun features a single brass bead sight on the matte solid rib, chambered 2 3/4" choked modified/modified with auto ejectors. The "crown" over "u" proofed barrels are blue and the remaining parts are casehardened. The left rear upper barrel is marked "MADE BY GERB. ADAMY, SUHL, GERMANY" followed by "eagle NITRO" and "SOLE U.S. AGENTS SLOAN'S SPORTING GOODS CO. NEW = YORK / DELUXE GRADE". The scalloped receiver has fine scroll engraving and game scenes, two hunting dogs in a wooded scene on the left and two fox with a dead duck in a wooded scene on the right. The engraving extends to the break lever, trigger guard and forearm latch assembly. Double under bites, Kersten cross bolt, cocking indicators, tang safety and double triggers. Mounted with nicely figured European walnut checked slim forearm and pistol grip stock with a black horn grip cap, basket weave patterned black horn buttplate and a silver initial oval. 14 1/4"pull from the front trigger.
