Description:

Manufactured between 1863 and 1865. The left side of the frame is marked "STARR.ARMS.Co.NEW.YORK." and the reverse is marked "STARR'S PATENT JAN. 15. 1856". "C" and "D" are stamped on the trigger guard next to the serial number, and the smooth one piece grips have faint inspector's cartouches on the sides.

Rating Definition:

Fair, with a mixed brown patina covering the surface. A few hints of the original blue are visible in the protected areas, and some minor pitting and handling marks are visible. Grips are revarnished, with mild pressure dents. Fine action.
