Description:

Manufactured 1859 to 1868. Brass blade front sight and hammer notch rear sight. Smooth five shot cylinder with roll engraved scenes separated by floral engraving and 1859 patent date. Top of barrel marked with the one line Manhattan Fire Arms address. Blue barrel with casehardened hammer, frame and loading lever, silver plated brass grip straps and smooth walnut grips.

Rating Definition:

Near fine with approximately 20% of the original blue finish remaining, mostly on the bottom of the barrel. Traces of the casehardening are barely visible on the frame and hammer. The frame and barrel have been extensively cleaned. All markings are crisp and clear. The silver plated brass grip frame/trigger guard is excellent with approximately 85% of the silver plating remaining, light wear at the edges of the trigger guard. The smooth grips are very fine with a small chip on the bottom edge of the right grip.
