Sometimes referred to as the "Seven Shooter" this revolver was only manufactured from 1861 to 1863. Total quantity estimated at several thousand. Top of barrel is marked "D. MOORE.PATENT.SEPT. 18. 1860". Decorative broad scroll engraving on the silver plated frame, trigger guard, recoil shields, butt and backstrap. Serrated case hardened hammer. Brass blade front sight and notch rear sight. Seven shot cylinder with removable ejector rod mounted under the barrel. Barrel and cylinder swing to right for loading. Fitted with square butt, smooth walnut grips.

Very good plus. Barrel and cylinder are smooth and turning to a crisp gray/brown patina. Silver plating turning to brass coloration. Grips are good showing numerous light handling marks and dent at the butt of left grip panel. Action is fine.
