Produced between 1859 and 1874. Silver finished brass blade front sight, with rear sight notch in the breech, the right side of the frame marked "C. SHARPS PATENT/ JAN 25. 1859" below the barrel group and the pivoting latch on the front of the frame. Smooth spur trigger and checkered hammer, the latter with the automatically rotating rimfire striker. Smooth rosewood grips with a bird's head butt and brass screw escutcheons. Matching serial numbers are present on the underside of the barrel and on the left side of the frame under the grips.
