Scarce Blue Finish Remington-Rider Magazine Pistol

Manufactured from 1871 to 1888. Silver blade front and aperture rear sights, the latter cut through the cocking lever. Silver magazine tube insert with checkered head. Standard two line address and patent markings on top of the barrel rib which reads "E. REMINGTON & SONS, ILION, N.Y. / RIDERS PAT. AUG. 15, 1871". Aside from "FLK" initials (non-factory) stamped on the top and right side, the frame is unadorned. Fitted with smooth two-piece grips with a bird's head butt.

ConditionVery good plus, with approximately 20-30% of the original finish, showing brighter original blue in the protected areas between the barrel and magazine, and visible case color on the right side of the frame near the grip. A brown patina is visible on the barrel, with a mixed brown and gray on the frame. Grips are good, with mild scratches and varnish loss. Action is very good.
