This is nice example of a late post WWII M1 rifle as manufactured by the International Harvester Company. Standard markings on the rear of the receiver, with the barrel marked "LMR D6535448 11-54 A38" with the correct "P" and "M" proofs and the breech is still in the white. The remaining components are marked as follows: bolt 6528287 IHC over E24, operating rod D-6535382 IHC, trigger housing IHC D6528290, hammer C46008-3SA, safety C 46015-4, "DHC/ IHC" windage adjustment knob and unmarked milled trigger guard. The gas cylinder is the correct post war wide base version. The stock and handguards are walnut. The G.I. replacement stock has a single uncircled standing "P" proof in the pistol grip, "101" painted in tan on the grip butt, green canvas sling and checkered trapdoor butt.

Excellent as assembled, with correct parts overall with 95% original parkerized finish with wear on the receiver side rail and thinning overall from normal use. The wood is very good as lightly sanded around the buttplate area, with no cartouche and some pressure dents and dings. Internals are assembled, but the action is excellent.
