Description:

The rear of the receiver is marked "SAGINAW S.G." behind the rear flip aperture sight, marked with an "S" on the left side, the front receiver is marked "US CARBINE / CAL .30 M1" and "MMQ" on the barrel lug. The "9-43" dated Underwood barrel is fitted with a type III barrel band/bayonet lug. Missing magazine. It has a high wood walnut pistol grip stock featuring an oval oiler slot-cut and boxed "SG" on the right side of the butt, fitted with a checkered buttplate and green canvas sling.

Rating Definition:

Excellent, with approximately 95% of the original parkerized finish remains with wear or thinning on the edges, receiver rail, top ends of the bolt and exposed end of the barrel. The stock is very fine with some minor scratches and dings, with a legible marking. The metal markings are clear and crisp. The sling is excellent.
