A) Sharps Model 2A Pepperbox

Left side of frame marked "C. SHARPS/ PATENT 1859" around the hammer screw, right side "C. SHARP & Co / PHILADA. PA." Blued barrels and silver plated brass frame. Features the straight breech and straight grip, checkered hammer and groove rear sight. Matching serial number on frame and barrels. Fitted with checkered brown hard rubber grips.

ConditionVery good with the barrels exhibiting a smooth gray patina with a smooth dark patina in the protected areas. Small traced of blue are still present in the protected areas. The brass has a smooth aged patina. There is a half inch sliver of hard rubber missing from the back edge of the left grip, otherwise the grips are very fine with some moderate bottom edge wear and some light handling marks. The checkering is sharp. The markings are clear.

ConditionGood with the barrels exhibiting a dark mottled patina, some minor pitting and limited surface rust. The brass has been cleaned at one time and is now beginning to age. Part of the right frame marking is faint due to cleaning. All other markings are clear. The replacement grips are excellent with only the slightest handling marks.
