U.S.A." ahead of the rear sight and "45-60" directly behind the sight at the breech, two line patent marking on the upper tang and the serial number on the lower tang under the "S" shaped lever. Blade front sight, sporting rear sight and full length tube magazine. Smooth forend with an iron cap, straight grip stock and iron buttplate with sliding butt trap.
