Marked "BARNETT/LONDON" on the lock plate in front of the hammer, "BARNETT/ GUNMAKERS/ LONDON" in an oval cartouche on the right side of the stock. "W.R" is stamped on the stock opposite the lock and the London "crown/ V" and "crown/ GP" proofs are on the upper left rear of the barrel, which has a blunderbuss-type muzzle which flares out to nearly 3 inches wide. A ten inch iron yoke is fitted to the forearm in front of the lock plate, most likely used on ship. The heavy iron trumpet headed ramrod has a single brass pipe. The buttplate and trigger guard are also brass.
Very good. The barrel shows a mixed bright gray and brown patina, with scattered dings and some mild pitting. The lock is bright with traces of the original pattern. Stock is fine, with dings, scratches, a few small chips and fine varnish. Mechanically excellent.
