Fine. The barrel retains approximately half of the faded original blue finish with some moderate surface rust and some short streaks of brown patina at the muzzle. There is extensive flash pitting that partially obscures the barrel markings. The lock plate and hammer have a dark mottled patina. The brass has a smooth aged patina. The stock is very fine with some minor to moderate dings, chips, dents and scratches and a few moderate gashes. There are a few large dents mostly on the right side of the buttstock. The left stock flat has a mild crack. The stock markings are clear. The bayonet is good with a dark mottled patina and some minor surface rust. The brass has a smooth dark aged patina. Mechanically excellent.
