The lock plates are marked "W. Ketland & Co". There are two gold inlaid bands on the breech end of the barrels with a grouse engraved in between the bands and the locks, hammers, trigger guard and barrel tang are floral scroll engraved. Damascus barrels with a single brass bead sight on the concave solid rib which is marked "London" in script near the breech. Straight grip stock with skip line checkered wrist, silver thumb oval and iron buttplate with long floral engraved tang. Ebony ramrod/cleaning rod with iron tip.
Very good. The barrels have been period refurbished with most of the brown finish and Damascus pattern remaining. The remaining metal surfaces have a smooth gray and gray mottled patina. The stock has been lightly sanded and refinished. The checkering is smooth with most of the pattern visible. The markings and engraving are clear and crisp. The action is excellent.
