Description:

Twist steel barrel, with a slightly flared muzzle, blade and notch sights, decorative gold bands, casehardened breech and tang, and "Canons * Cordu" in gold script on the top flap. Casehardened lock and hammer, with "Hthe Jean/ Coulon" signed on the former. Finger rest trigger guard, reverse plate, and forearm tip/ ramrod pipe are casehardened. Checkered stock, with single wedge, checkered grip, flared pommel and casehardened buttcap.

Rating Definition:

Very fine, with a strong twist pattern and bright casehardened colors. Mild spotting is visible on the barrel, with some flash pitting around the nipple. Case colors are vivid, with a few areas of fading to gray. Stock is fine as repaired, with some period replaced sections near the lock, cracking, pressure dents and varnish loss. Action is fine.
