Produced in 1962 and 1963 in response to public demand for small caliber, high velocity handguns, only 3300 of these pistols were made. Built on the frame and action of a Ruger flattop single action revolver, with a rotating breechblock in place of the cylinder. Ramp blade front sight on the barrel, marked "RUGER HAWKEYE./ WIN. .256 MAG. CAL.". A Bushnell Phantom II 2.5x scope is mounted on the frame with a Bushnell Ruger base. Standard receiver markings, smooth grips with black eagle Ruger medallions. With a proper red and black Ruger box.

Excellent, with 95% of the original blue finish, showing a bright patina along the high edges and a few small areas, heavy spotting on either side of the muzzle, minor handling marks and scattered light spotting overall. Grips are excellent, with light pressure dents. Some edge wear and separation on the box. Optic are clear and the action is excellent.
