H. Pieper Revolving Carbine

Manufactured in Belgium by H. Piper, these revolving carbines were purchased by the Mexican government in the late 1890s. This rifle features a blade front sight and a leaf rear sight. The upper tang is marked "H. PIEPER BTE LIEGE" and the underside of the frame is marked "G.M. No *91*". The right side of the frame is stamped with two star/F proofs. Matching serial number on the frame and crane. Mounted with a full length straight grip stock with finger groove forearm, sling barrel band, sling swivels and iron buttplate with trapdoor.

ConditionVery good. The carbine retains sporadic traces of faded original blue finish mixed with a smooth brown patina. There is some scattered minor spotting. The wood is also very good with a few minor pressure dents and some minor dings and scratches. Mechanically fine.
