Manufactured in Belgium by H. Piper, these revolving carbines were purchased by the Mexican government in the late 1890s. This rifle features a blade front sight and a leaf rear sight. The upper tang is marked "H. PIEPER BTE LIEGE" and the underside of the frame is marked "G.M. No *91*". The right side of the frame is stamped with two star/F proofs. Matching serial number on the frame and crane. Mounted with a full length straight grip stock with finger groove forearm, sling barrel band, sling swivels and iron buttplate with trapdoor.

Rating Definition:

Very good. The carbine retains sporadic traces of faded original blue finish mixed with a smooth brown patina. There is some scattered minor spotting. The wood is also very good with a few minor pressure dents and some minor dings and scratches. Mechanically fine.
