The Model 21 was Winchester's finest effort with regard to quality, reliability and strength. Despite being offered as a production gun, it was in fact a hand built custom made shotgun. Almost each Model 21 built has a personality of it's own because each is slightly different in regards to chokes, barrel lengths, stock dimensions and embellishments. The Model 21 was introduced in 1931 and the Tournament Grade Model 21's were only made in 1933 and 1934. This shotgun features a concave matte solid rib with single bead sight, chambered 2 3/4", choked full/full with ejectors. Left barrel marked "WINCHESTER -12 GAUGE" and the bottom of the receiver is marked "TOURNAMENT". Single selective trigger, manual tang mounted safety and mounted with fancy American black walnut checkered beaver tail forearm and pistol grip stock with checkered bare butt. Complete in a hard leather takedown case with leather corner protectors, leather carrying handle, canvas outer cover, and maroon lining with Winchester label affixed to the inside of the lid. The case contains a two piece cleaning rod, a leather pouch with cleaning rod attachments, nickel oiler and nickel snap caps.
