Early WW II production M1 Garand with standard semi-hooded blade front and peep rear sights. The barrel is marked "S-A- 4-42" followed by "R X" and has the standard four line marking over the serial number on the rear of the receiver. Bayonet lug and stacking swivel mounted on the gas tube and smooth pistol grip walnut stock with a "P" stamped on the front of the pistol grip and checkered cupped steel buttplate with compartment. Complete with a leather "BOYT / 43" marked sling.

Very fine. The rifle retains approximately 95% original parkerized finish with thinning on the muzzle ends of the barrel and tube. The reoiled stock is very good with a few small gouges in the grip area, a number of scratches around the rear of the forward handguard and a few minor pressure dents and dings. The sling is very good with some minor staining and tight stitching. The markings are sharp. The action is excellent.
