This is an example of a World War II U.S. Remington M1903A4 sniper rifle with Weaver Model 330 Telescopic Sight. The rifle has a parkerized receiver, barrel, upper barrel band, buttplate and telescopic sight base. The lower barrel band, stamped trigger guard, cut-off and cocking piece have a blue finish. The rifle is fitted with a walnut, wartime production, oil-finished "C" stock. The rifle has the distinctive stock with the bolt relief cut, milled bolt handle and barrel with no front sight. The receiver has the unique M1903A4 markings that consist of: "U.S./REMINGTON/MODEL 03-A3" in three lines on the left side of the telescopic sight base and the serial number "3416892" on the right side of the sight base. The two-groove barrel is stamped: "RA" over the Ordnance Corps 'Shell and Flame' insignia and the date "9-43". The left side of the butt is stamped with a Springfield Armory "S.A./O" overhaul mark in an open box. An encircled "P" proofmark is stamped on the inside of the stock pistol grip. The telescopic sight has a standard cross-hair reticule, screw-adjustable windage and elevation knobs and is marked: "MODEL 330" on the data plate. The scope tube has a blued finish. The right side of the tube is stamped: "SERIAL NO." followed by the number "16111" marked on the tube with a vibra-pencil. The telescopic sight rings are blued. The scope base is marked "REDFIELD" on the right rear.

Excellent. The rifle was overhauled by Springfield Armory after WWII and has the typical mix of blued and parkerized components found on armory overhauled rifles. The barrel, receiver, bolt and other components retain nearly all of the blue or parkerized finish. Wear is limited to some minor finish loss on the edges of the buttplate. The scope has excellent optics and retains at least 98% of the original blue finish. The stock appears to be a replacement installed when the rifle was overhauled and is in near-new condition with very minor storage wear. The bore is bright. The receiver, barrel, stock and scope markings are crisp. This is an excellent example of a WWII Remington M1903A4 sniper rifle with the Weaver 330 scope fitted on early production M1903A4 rifles.
