Winchester Model 1892 Lever Action Saddle Ring Carbine

Manufactured in 1926. Pinned blade front sight, sporting leaf rear sight, full length magazine tube and saddle ring staple and ring on the left side of receiver. The right side of the barrel has the two line address and the left side is marked "-MODEL 92 WINCHESTER / --TRADE MARK-- 25-20W.C.F." The upper tang is stamped with the three line model designation/trademark. Mounted on a plain forearm and straight grip stock with crescent buttplate marked "CR" on the tang.

ConditionPartially refinished. The barrel retains approximately half of the original finish with thinning on the muzzle end of the barrel and magazine. The receiver has cold blue on the forward portion and underside, wear from the saddle ring and overall thinning with areas of smooth gray patina. The wood is reoiled, the butt stock has been freshened. There is a minor gouge on the upper left side of the forearm, a few very minor age cracks around the wrist and overall a few scattered minor dings and dents. The markings remain crisp and clear. The action is fine.
