Produced in France circa 1860, this pistol used a vertically oriented turret cylinder to fire ten rounds in one loading. Dovetailed blade front and notch rear sights, with "SYSTEME A NOEL/ BTE SGDG" on the left side of the rib, "J.I. GOUERY CANATOCH/ PARIS" on the right, scroll engraving on many parts, and eight decorative cut-through holes on each side of the frame. The bar hammer is fitted with a safety catch. "61" is marked on the metal buttcap. Ribbed hardwood grips, with floral patterns at the tops.
