1) German meerschaum pipe. The main body is 6 1/2" long and 4" tall, with a silver stem collar at the rear and hinged vented lid, marked on top with a "crown/ 5 in C" and "16 84". The stem consists of two pieces of carved horn connected by a braided tube, with ebony accent piece at the stem end and a black hanging tassel. 2) Fancy Unit Commemorative German Pipe. Porcelain bowl, 6 1/4" tall with a pickelhaub shaped cover and polychrome decoration including Kaiser Wilhelm II and a 1904/06 dated unit roster. Bowl slots into the 26 1/2" tall, two section pipe, multicolored horn with floral designs and carved unit markings at the midsection, and a stag horn disk at the top. Stem is similar in design to 1.
