The top of the chamber is marked "WAFFENFABRIK / MAUSER / OBERNDORF A/N" with a crown/U proof and "MADE IN GERMANY" on the left side. The left rear side of the frame is marked "1920 / 455." and "WAFFENFABRIK MAUSER / OBERNDORF A. NECKAR" on the right side. Although the left side of the frame bears the 1920 rework marking, the original 5 1/2 inch long barrel and rear sight graduated from 50-500 meters are retained. The hammer is marked "NS" on the back for New Safety. Visible numbers match. Fitted with 24 grooved grip panels burned with the large "9" and filled in with red paint. The pistol is complete with the combination wooden holster/shoulder stock, the leather carrying harness and cleaning rod. "B. Wiederman / Berlin.N.39 / 1916" is stamped on the harness between the belt loops.

Rating Definition:

Very fine. The pistol retains approximately 75% plus original blue finish with the balance a smooth gray patina. The grips are very fine with the exception of a minor lanyard ring pressure dent and some minor dings and scratches. The stock is a correct style, slightly crude reproduction with some minor dings and scratches. The harness is also a well made reproduction (with all markings) with some minor handling. The stitching is tight. Mechanically excellent.
