This is a very nice example of a Adamy Gebruder double rifle with two sets of barrels and two scopes. Both barrel sets are 24 1/2". One set is chambered 500-416 and the other 8x75RS. The 500-416 set features a ramped red bead blade front and fixed rear sight on the quarter rib, which is also equipped with claw mounts. The second set of barrels has a matte solid rib with ramp front blade and fixed rear sight set between the claw mounts. Both sets of barrels have a wedge of light scroll engraving at the breech ends, are marked "Gebr. Adamy, Suhl" in script, have double locking lugs, sling swivel eye mounted on the bottom ribs and are numbered to the gun. Each barrel set has it's own forearm, also serial numbered to the gun and designated "1" and "2". The forearms are multi-point checkered and the hardware is engraved coin finished. The coin action features the Anson Deely system with Greener cross bolt, double triggers, jeweled water table and breech face and tang mounted manual safety. The action, side plates, trigger guard, break lever and forearm hardware are engraved with fine floral scroll patterns. The fences are sculpted and are floral leaf relief engraved. The pistol grip stock is checkered with a coin finished grip cap, which is engraved with floral scroll designs and a water buffalo head in the center, cheek piece, Pachmayr Old English recoil pad and sling swivel eye. Complete with a custom aluminum case with egg carton foam lining in the lid and red velvet lining in the bottom. In the case is a brown leather sling with quick release fasteners and two scopes, 1) Zeiss Diavari-ZM 2.5 - 10x48 with plastic lens caps and 2) Zeiss Diavari-ZM 1.25 -4x24 with plastic lens caps. This double rifle is consecutively serial numbered to another two barrel, double barrel rifle set offered for sale in this auction.

Rating Definition:

Excellent. The 500-416 barrels retain all of the original finish. The forearm with those barrels is fair with large splinters missing along the upper right side edge, several moderate gouges and sharp checkering. The 8x75RS barrels are excellent with the exception of a few scratches and dents concentrated in an area about 4" behind the front sight which have exposed the metal in some places, otherwise the finish is 99% intact. The forearm is excellent with a few overall minor dents and dings and sharp checkering. The trigger guard retains 95% original finish with some thinning to gray on the tang and a few spots of minor flaking. The receiver retains virtually all of the original coin finish. The stock is very good with a small shallow gouge on the top, a few light scratches, minor dents and dings, and sharp checkering. The scopes are both excellent with clear optics. The sling is excellent. The case is excellent with the screws in one compartment wall stripped and some minor contact wear.
