Excellent Cased Engraved Two Barrel Set Emil Pachmayr Drilling with Scope and Knife

This Emil Pachmayr Drilling features two sets of barrels. One set has double 20 gauge barrels on top and a lower 7mm rifle barrel and is 26 3/4" in length. The shotgun barrels are chambered 2 1/2", choked full/improved modified with an extractor. Solid matte rib with blade front sight, flip up rear rifle sight and scope mount base mounted at the breech. The top of the rib is marked "EMIL PACHMAYR, TRAUNSTEIN" and the undersides are marked "KRUPP - LAUF" as well as having various proofmarks and the July 28 date. There is a sling swivel mounted on the bottom barrel. The second set of barrels (Doppelbuchs Drilling) have double upper 7mm rifle barrels and a lower 20 gauge barrel, 25 1/4", chambered 2 1/2", choked full with extractor. Solid matte rib with raised ramp front sight, two leaf rear sight, one fixed, one folding. This set is marked identically to the first and both sets of barrels are numbered to the gun. The muzzles and bottom of the lugs on both sets are engraved with a geometric pattern. The scalloped box lock action, trigger guard and break lever are engraved with floral designs and each side of the action has deer in wooded scenes. Casehardened receiver and blue remaining parts. Double adjustable triggers, cross bolt, side mounted safety, tang mounted selector, cocking indicator and mounted with a checkered forearm with engraved hardware and pistol grip stock with horn grip cap, cheekpiece, serrated horn buttplate and sling swivel. Complete in a hard leather take down case with nickel hardware, leather carrying handle, corner protectors and rust colored lining. In the case is a 22-20 caliber conversion for the shotgun barrels marked "CAL. 22-20 1 f B. D.R.G.M." on the bottom and "SEMPERT & KRIEGHOFF GEWEHRFABRIK SUHL" on top, (in original cardboard tube) and a leather sling. Also included is a A. Jackenkroll 4x42 scope with leather lens caps and quick release mount in a leather case, and a J. Hurnaus stag handled knife with 6 3/8" blade with scalloped spine, marked "J.HURNAUS / TRAUNSTEIN" with rawhide sheath.

ConditionExcellent. Both barrel sets retain 98% finish with some wear and thinning on the muzzles, a few minor dings and scratches on the lower right side of the first set and some wear on the lower barrel from the forearm on the second. The trigger guard and break lever retain 98% original blue finish with some minor thinning on the trigger guard tang and a couple of minor dings on the left edge of the trigger guard bow. The receiver retains strong traces (approximately 20%) of the original vivid case colors, mostly in the protected areas of the trigger guard and fences. The wood is very good with some minor bruising in the checkering, a small crude fill repair on the toe and overall some scattered minor dings and dents. The checkering remains crisp. Crisp clear markings. The mechanics are excellent. The scope is very good with clear optics. The knife is good with signs of some sharpening and some speckled discoloration. The sheath is fair. The conversion is excellent. The case is very good with a few minor scuffs and minor corner wear. The lining is good, showing some minor wear and fraying on edges.
