Introduced in 1991, this is a carbine version of the AR-15A2 rifle with 16 1/2 inch barrel, and fixed buttstock. Adjustable post front and peep rear sights, with standard markings on the 1 in 7 twist barrel. Standard markings on the left side of the magazine well, checkered and grooved pistol grip, and forward assist/ casing deflector equipped upper receiver. Ribbed round forearm with smooth buttstock, checkered buttplate, and black nylon sling.
