Made in 1945. Fixed sights, with the left side of the slide marked "REMINGTON RAND INC. / SYRACUSE, N.Y. U.S.A.", "P" on top ahead of the rear sight and "U" above the firing pin hole. The right side of the frame is stamped with the Ordnance Corps cartouche behind the grips, "UNITED STATES PROPERTY" and "M 1911 A1 U.S. ARMY" around the stop hole, over the "NO" style serial number, and the left side of the frame is stamped with Frank J. Atwood's inspector mark and "P" around the magazine release. Checkered stamped trigger, thin hammer spur, checkered thumb safety, serrated slide catch, serrated arched mainspring housing and a pair of smooth varnished replacement late style Keyes Fibre grips. High Standard barrel, with the full blue magazine marked "H" on the base and "D.H." on the side in punch dots.

Excellent finish, with 98% of the parkerized finish, showing mild edge wear, some dents on the serrations and mild handling marks overall. Grips are custom replacements, with some light scuffs and scratches. Mechanically excellent.
