Description:

This knife has a 7 1/8", double edged spear point blade, with faint "W W" mark on the ricasso. The knife has an oval brass cross guard with "USMC/ 43" scratched on top. The handle is wrapped with copper wire and has a copper pommel cap marked "JWP". The heavy leather scabbard has two belt loops and seven rivets. The front of the scabbard is carved "U.S.M.C./ 1943/ J.W.P.".

Rating Definition:

Very good, with spotting and sharpening marks on the blade, a mixed patina on the brass and copper and fine sheath, with some mild scuffing. A scarce theater-used U.S.M.C. fighting knife.
