Description:

Manufactured in 1920. Blade front and notch rear sights, with the two line barrel address, "COLT D.A. .45" on the left side and "UNITED STATES PROPERTY" on the underside. The butt of the revolver is marked "U.S./ARMY/MODEL/1917" and "No/ 112/ 390". Marked with an "eagle/ S18" proof on the left side of the frame, above the Rampant Colt. Smooth two piece walnut grips with "TPK" scratched into each side.

Rating Definition:

Very fine, with 85% of the original blue finish, with a brown patina forming, strongest on the frame and grip straps, bright wear along the high edges, and scattered light dings and handling marks. Grips are fair, with a chip absent from the left toe and a number of pressure dents. Mechanically fine.
