This is an early WWII produced (November 1942) M1 Garand as manufactured by Springfield Armory that was subsequently rebuilt for the Korean war. The receiver is marked with the standard four line marking over the serial number and the parts are marked as follows: barrel: S-A-12-51, bolt, D28287-12-SA / W9B, operating rod, D35382 9 SA, trigger guard housing: 6528290-SA, hammer: C46008-2 SA, bullet guide: 8 and the rear sights are the later version marked "WCE" on the windage knob. The stock and hand guards are walnut with no visible inspection markings and it comes complete with a green canvas sling.
