Receiver manufactured in the late 19th century, subsequently fitted with a contemporary barrel marked "45-70/BLACK POWDER" and in No. 1 3/4 Far West Hunter's configuration. Rear of receiver drilled and tapped for sight mounting.

Very good overall with barrel retaining nearly all of the original finish, mixed patina on other surfaces, replacement wood with some minor wear and couple hairline cracks on wrist. Mechanically excellent.
