The upper tang is marked "BALLARD RIFLE, LLC/CODY, WYOMING", the serial number is marked on the rear of the receiver directly behind the hammer and on the bottom of the barrel under the forearm. The caliber designation, "22 LR" is marked on the bottom barrel flat ahead of the forearm. Blue barrel, casehardened receiver and buttplate, and mounted with deluxe, nicely figured smooth walnut forearm with steel forend tip and straight grip stock with a carbine style buttplate.
