This is a solid example of a Winchester Model 1873 rifle that was manufactured in 1882. Blade front sight, adjustable semi buckhorn rear sight. The top barrel flat is marked with the two line address/King's Improvement patent dates ahead of the rear sight, and the rifle is absent of any caliber markings. The model designation is marked on the upper tang and the serial number on the lower tang. All blue finish with casehardened hammer and lever, and mounted with a smooth forearm with iron end cap and straight grip stock with a crescent buttplate with compartment (cleaning rod not included).

Very good. The metal surfaces have a smooth mottled brown patina, with some minor spotting. The wood is good with a small minor gouge on the left wrist and overall scattered minor dings and scratches. The markings are clear. The action is fine.
