This is a number "2" of a Game Bird Set. Single bead sight on the solid concave matte rib, 3 inch chambers, (lengthened from the original 2 5/8 inch). Chokes gauge at modified/improved modified, with ejectors. Top of right barrel marked "VON LENGERKE & DETMOLD" and left barrel marked "U.S. AGENTS NEW YORK". Proofs on the underside of the barrels and watertable. Fine scroll engraved action and locks, marked "A. FRANCOTTE MAKER & PATENTEE/ LIEGE BELGIUM" on both sides. Scrollwork extends to break lever and trigger guard with a reed engraved pattern on a matte background on the fences. There is a gold "2" on the break lever and on the rib at the breech end. Single Miller trigger, tang mounted manual safety/selector and mounted with a multi-point checkered walnut splinter forearm and round knob pistol grip stock with a vented Hawkins recoil pad and silver initial oval. Length of pull is 14 inches. Complete with a leather leg of mutton case.

Refurbished to near new. The barrels retain 98% blue finish with some scattered light spotting. The trigger guard retains 98% blue finish with some thinning on the tang. The action retains 95% original case colors with some fading to gray on the edges. The wood has been lightly sanded and freshened with a coat of varnish and remains very good with a few scattered minor dings and handling marks. The markings and engraving are clear. Mechanically excellent. The case is good with some wear and scuffs.
