This is a very fine example of a Colt Ace automatic pistol that was manufactured in 1937. The pistol has the Colt high polish commercial blue finish, two-tone magazine and full checkered, oil-finished walnut grips. The barrel chamber is polished bright. The slide is fitted with a Stevens adjustable rear sight and second pattern front sight with serrated face. The mainspring housing is not fitted with a lanyard loop. The pistol has a two-tone magazine with polished floor plate roll-stamped "COLT/ACE/22LR" in three lines. The right side of the frame is stamped with the serial number, "7506" behind the slide stop hole and a Colt inspection number, "60" on the trigger guard bow. The left side of the trigger guard bow is stamped with an "X" assembler's mark above the Colt "Triangle/VP" proof mark. The right side of the slide is roll-stamped "COLT" followed by "ACE" surrounded by a diamond-shaped border and ".22 LONG/RIFLE". The left side of the slide is roll-stamped with the elongated Clt Hartford address above the 1897-1913 patent dates.
