Description:

Manufactured in 1931, the introductory year of production. Half moon front and adjustable notch sights, with the left side of the slide marked with the two-line patent and address next to the Rampant Colt, and the Colt Ace markings on the reverse. The trigger guard is marked "3/VP" and "43", with a checkered trigger, wide hammer, checkered arched mainspring housing and checkered grips.

Rating Definition:

Very fine, with 90% of the original blue finish, showing bright wear along the high edges, the start of a brown patina on the front strap, and scattered handling marks. Grips are very good, with flattening on top of checkering with mild dents and chips. Mechanically excellent.
