This is a WWII German Luger marked "41" on the chamber and "byf" on the toggle. The right side of the barrel extension has the standard "Eagle/655" Waffenamt acceptance proofs and the side is marked with the serial number. The left rear side of the frame is marked "P.08". The extractor and upper safety area are marked "GELADEN" and "GESICHERT" respectively. It is numbered in the military fashion with the full serial number on the frame, barrel and barrel extension with the last two digits on the various small parts. It has the late war black plastic checkered grips and is complete with one "P08/fxo/" marked Army type 4 magazine with the black unnumbered plastic base.

Very fine with 90% of the original blue finish with wear on the edges and high spots, overall. There is some very, very minor rust spots starting to develop in some areas that could easily be cleaned off. The undersized replacement grips are in excellent condition with minor handling marks. The Luger has all matching numbers except the grips and magazine, both are unnumbered. A solid representative example of a late production Mauser Luger.
