Description:

27 1/2 inch blade, with a strong, wavy temper line and a gold washed copper habaki with engraved accents. Round blackened brass tsuba with gold finished seppa, a golden plug inserted on one side, and a gold accented scene on the top and bottom, showing a man approaching a monkey with a waterfall in the background on the front and a scroll lying on the ground with a mountain in the distance on the underside. Similar gold accenting is present on the fuchi and kashira, as well as black cord wrapping over a pair of dragon menuki. With a black lacquered saya.

Rating Definition:

Very fine. The excellent blade shows some minor spotting, along with a strong temper line. The habaki and tsuba have some play, and the wrapping has compressed downward slightly. Saya is very fine, with a small crack in the kurigata and an absent shitodome.
