The left side of the slide has the "1940-XVIII" date, with the left grip tang stamped with the Italian Army crown over RE marking and "IVU" marked on the reverse. Fitted with standard metal backed black plastic grips with "PB" emblem.

Excellent. The pistol retains 95% original blue finish showing some thinning to a brown with some minor edge wear. The grips are excellent with a few minor scratches. Mechanically fine.

The slide is marked "PISTOLA AUT-BERETTA-6.35 BREV. 1919", with an Italian proof stamped behind the serrations. The left grip tang has 1932 dated Italian commercial proofs. Standard sheet metal backed checkered factory grips. Matching serial number on slide and frame.

Very good. The pistol retains 80% original blue finish remaining with the balance a smooth gray patina with minor spotting on the grip straps. The grips are fine with some minor handling marks and overall crisp checkering. Mechanically fine.
