This is certainly a unique example of a copy of the ultra rare "Baby Luger" semi-automatic pistol. As we all know, original "Baby" Luger pistols are extremely rare with only a handful of original examples known to actually exist. The originals were all manufactured under the direct supervision of Georg Luger himself and so marked. This example is an incredibly close copy of one of those extremely rare Baby Luger pistols. This piece has been masterfully created by shortening an original Luger frame, and grip set by approximately 1 inch, and then manufacturing a new barrel in the original configuration but shorter in length to match the original Baby Luger length. In addition an original WWI type Luger magazine has been corresponding shortened to match the frame length. The craftsmanship was so masterfully done that even a trained expert can barely see the welds from the outside. All the original factory markings and proof marks have been carefully removed, except for the original DWM toggle markings and the entire pistol has been nicely restored in an original rust blued manner, giving the pistol the exact appearance of an original "Baby Luger" pistol. This unique example comes complete with a "John Martz" marked, blued spare Baby Luger magazine and an excellent reproduction of an original baby Luger leather holster, made by "Gale C. Morgan". The holster has been correctly reduced in size and dimensions, matching this unique Luger pistol, but still retains the original Luger holster shape. The back side of the holster has been stamped with a "Crown m" proof, with two non-matching numbers and the logo of Gale Morgan.
