Description:

Manufactured circa 1859-68. This revolver is a Series V with the six shot cylinder with standard engraved oval panels and marked with the 1859 patent date. The top barrel flat has the two line address/patent date marking. The matching serial number is located on the bottom of the barrel lug, frame, trigger guard, back strap and wedge. The barrel and cylinder are blue, brass grip frame silver plated and the remaining parts casehardened. Blade front and hammer notch rear sights and fitted with a varnished one piece walnut grip.

Rating Definition:

Very fine. The barrel and cylinder retain 90% original polished blue finish showing minor spotting. The frame retains 70% faded original case colors. The grip straps retain nearly 97% original silver plating. The grip is excellent with a few minor handling marks and retaining most of the varnish. Mechanically fine.
