A) London Flintlock Pistol

The right side of the frame is marked "LONDON" and the left side has a partially removed maker's marking (the last letters are "room"). The screw on smooth bore barrel has an engraved band at the muzzle. The frame is also engraved and two British proofs are stamped ahead of the folding trigger. The hammer has a sliding safety. The one-piece grip is finely checkered and has a silver thumb shield and an engraved German silver accent on the butt. Provenance: The William Ashby Collection

ConditionGood. The pistol has a mottled gray patina with minor dings. The grip is fine showing some wear in the overall crisp checkering. Mechanically fine.
