This is an exceptional example of a Classic Big Five Double Rifle as manufactured by the Krieghoff, Heinrich, Gun Company. The Big Five Double Rifle is similar to the standard Classic rifle except it is available in the larger calibers. It was introduced in 1997 and is imported from Germany by Krieghoff International. This particular rifle features a blade front sight on a raised ramp and a fixed iron rear sight on a quarter rib. The quarter rib is equipped with a Swarovski 1.25-4x24 scope. The barrels are 23 5/8 inches in length, finished blue and marked "500/416 N.E." on each flat, and the forward lug is marked with an "eagle/N" proof, "KI", the Ulm antler proof and "KRIEGHOFF/ULM" on the right rear lug. Between the lugs is marked with an "H" and "416/355". The bottom of each barrel is "eagle/N" proofed, the right barrel is marked "240" and the left "98652". There is a sling swivel eye mounted on the underside and the barrels are equipped with an extractor. The trigger guard is finished in a flat blue, and box lock action and remaining parts are finished in coin. The action is lightly engraved with floral scroll designs and is marked "KRIEGHOFF/CLASSIC/Germany" on the underside. This rifle also features polished double triggers, a large manual "Combi" cocking device on the upper tang and specially weighted stock bolt for weight and balance. The rifle is mounted with fancy European walnut with a finely multi point checkered Schnabel tip forearm and pistol grip stock with cheekpiece, sling swivel stud and solid black rubber recoil pad with pebble leather face. Length of pull is 14 7/8 inches. Complete with a Krieghoff padded leather trimmed canvas takedown case and scope case attached to the case, both have a sewn on oval leather Krieghoff Classic tag. In the accessory pouch on the case is a suede sling.

Excellent. The rifle retains 99% blue finish on the barrels with a very small area of minor spotting on the left barrel near the breech. The trigger guard retains 99% original finish with a couple very light scratches. The remaining parts retain 100% original coin finish. The wood is also excellent with a few scattered minor pressure dents and sharp checkering. The scope is as new. The cases are excellent.
